A tribute to a man who recently passed away. This man was the leader of our family, my husbands father, and my son's only granddad. We were told that he had passed away, and we rushed to the hospital, a week ago. When we arrived at ICU, he was alive, able to talk and express his love for us. He didn't plan on checking out, it was a near miss. Apparently he had fluid in his lungs, and pneumonia. We as christian believers, never claim illness, we stay focused on God's healing hand and protection. We speak life. We prayed and left so that he could rest.
8 hours later we were notified of his passing.
He was more than a Father in law. We had a supportive relationship, he made sure he was a part of my family and we all shared many good times together. He was still full of life on his last day.
A miracle happened, as I mentioned before, we went to the hospital expecting the worst. God gave him time to make sure we had spoken to each other, expressed our love, and hugs. It's so amazing! He had 5 children, 4 of whom are adults, my husband being the eldest, and his last son is 10. There are so many people who he touched, not only family, but fellow church members, friends, and co-workers. The picture is of him and my son who was 2 days old.
Best of all he called me daughter. Love you Pops!
